Congrats Linda on getting the permit.  It is a good thing to have when there comes a time that you might need it.  One Halloween my wife Rhonda, dressed up our kids to go trick-or-treating.  She decided to dress up herself by wearing one of my deputy shirts, a plastic star badge, a cowboy hat and a holster with a plastic revolver in it.  She also made a name tag that she pinned on her shirt.  The name tag read, "Pistol-packin MaMa".  We all got a great laugh out of that.

Nice going, Chuck! You're a good man!

Shauna, are these sort of like the ones you were picking up? These are about 2 inch cubes.

Somebody also sent me this photo of Linda and Debbie up in Idaho. Doesn't look like they'll take any sass.

Yes Daryl, is it a secret where you found those??? i was excited to find little mini ones!! You just need a picture of Marvin between the girls in his pants that he made!! I know I'm a nut for punishment but you know how you would do anything for your grand kids. I'm going back up that damn mountain and sleeping over this weekend.I better find a big set of dice this time Daryl??? What is everyone else doing for Memorial Day???

Shauna, you give me too much credit. I just found a picture of some "Devil's Dice" on the internet. I'd like to see the smaller ones you found. I'm sure the process by which they were created is pretty much the same. Maybe they are a different type of rock. Good luck on the climb!

RETIRED HEALTH MESSAGE

As I was lying in bed pondering the problems of the world,I rapidly realized that I don't really give a rat's hiney. It's the tortoise life for me!

1. If walking is good for your health, the postman would be immortal.

2. A whale swims all day, only eats fish, drinks water, and is fat.

3. A rabbit runs and hops and only lives 15 years.

4. A tortoise doesn't run and does nothing, yet it lives for 450 years.

And you tell me to exercise?? I don't think so.

I'm retired. Go around me.

God grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.

Hey Dennis,

I just laughed and laughed at what you posted.  I like the tourtoise idea of longivity.  He does not get worked up over anything.  He takes his time, sleeps alot, takes his house with him so he always knows where he is spending the night.  He probable has a good sense of humor when some other animal or creature is trying to figure out how to get him out of his house so they could eat him.  Wow, and at one time I thought that I would like to be a bear.

Shauna, where is this mountain that you are going to climb again?  You are in shape now, so it should be easier, right?  Ahh, what we do for our grandchildren.  They think that we are invincible, but little do they know that we tend to break easier.......  We expect a report and pictures from  your hike up that mountain.  Have fun!

Hey Ken,  I just watched the video.  You have great reasons to be proud.  I'll bet all your buttons on your shirt are popping off.  She is a great singer, and singing a song that seems to be quite difficult.  Thanks for sharing.

I imagine that most of us have grandchildren, or are in constant contact with small children.  I get a kick out of what they say.  They make me laugh.  I am so amazed at the debth of thought that they have.  I will give you an example.  My four year old grandson was at our house.  We went outside.  It was quite dark, and the stars were shining brightly.  I asked my grandson what keeps the stars from falling to the earth.  I could tell that the thinking gears in his head were spinning.  Finally he said, "Grandpa, I think that God keeps the stars from falling onto the earth".  Well, that made sense to me.  So I asked a followup question, which was, "how does God keep the stars from falling to the earth?"  He again thought about it for a few seconds.  He then gave a profound answer by saying, "God keeps the stars from falling to the earth by using Super Glue".  To him this was the most logical answer.   I smiled.

I'll bet many of you have some really neat stories to tell.  Would you like to share them with us?

Hey Robyn did that girl ever go on another date with you??? That is a killer hike. Just to round peak isn't that bad but the rest of the way is straight up. And yes I made it again and it wasn't as hard. We back packed and stayed over night. And no i didn't carry a back pack, that is what grand kids and son-n-laws are for. I did good to get this old body up there.  It was beautiful up there!  I can't post pictures because I still haven't learned how to do that!  I'll try to get to lunch, but I'll be late. Dave if you think it is easy to tell someone are parents age that you have to change their time for their hair, think again. It's easier for me to be a little late!!!!!!  Magelby's food is really good if you want to meet there. It is Springville Days so it will be busy no matter where we go. Megong 2 is really good that is right next to Pizza Hut by the freeway too! There are my ideas, chime in and you boys decide!!!!!! I can be there by 12;30

Bring the ladies along Shauna.

I ran into Ray Newbury Saturday and told him Thurs. at Magelbys. He's the new football coach at Cottonwood High.

Sorry I can't be there, fun group to be with. Maybe I'll see you at Art City Days.

Where are we meeting on Thursday or is it still on??? Anyone, anyone?????

06/05/13 11:13 AM #2282

Daryl Tucker

I'm still planning on lunch tomorrow. I'm flexible about the place, but I know the warden needs to meet at 11:30 because of his Salt Lake meeting. I'll hang out until you can be there, Shauna. Magleby's might be busy because of Art City Days, so we should probably meet somewhere by the freeway. I know some people have reservations about IHOP,  so we could make it Cracker Barrel eventhough it's a bit noisier. What does everyone else have to say?

I'll try to be there at Ihop as soon as I can!!
