Daryl Tucker

Nothing exciting to report from this corner. Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone! It's Dennis Sorensen's birthday tomorrow. I hope you have a great day, warden!

In talking to my mom, last night, I found out that Larry Lowery's mother passed away a week, or so, ago. My condolences to you and your family, Larry. Your mom was a great lady.

I have wanted to do the skydiving thing for years, and I'm glad to hear you took the plunge, Shauna, literally!

I'm pretty sure I'd have a reaction like this...

Linda, I've found that sometimes I have to put in, or change, the dimensions of the pictures I'm trying to upload. You can do it in the dialog box that comes up when you click the image icon. Or, you could try to save a copy of the photo in a smaller size before uploading it. Just a thought.

Deb I think this site could use a little beauty.  If you don't give in and post a picture, we may have to get the bikers together and make a trip to Mayberry and have lunch, or get aunt D to fix us something.!

I have a bucket list but sky diving is not on it.  I go through enough hell just going to work.

Daryl Thanks for the birthday wish I hope you had a great one.  I know I will cause I will be going home from Mile High, a week here is to long.  Have a great week.  DS

Linda, I uploaded this picture and it was full sized 2.5 Mb. and all I had to do was click on the little square picture next to the word source then select the picture from my Documents Folder. I find that with my Mac it's easier to up load when I move the pictures from iPhoto to the Documents Folder. Hope that helps. Happy Birthday to everyone who is celebrating one this time of year. My heart goes out to Larry for the loss of his mom. That's always a tough one! Shauna you always amaze me. Way to go on jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. Me I'm just enjoying retirement and riding me bike every day. Life is only what you make of it. So please enjoy every day like it is your last. My love to you ALL! Big D.

Thought I was computer savy, but I just can't make pictures appear.

I guess Debbie will have to wait on posting her beauty and come to Mayberry and have lunch with us.....

Debbie Lawrence (Clark)

Geez Dennis, now that you are a year older than me, I'll post my picture so that you can see what youth looks like.

I only have one thing on my bucket list, and that is to have a torrid affair with Johnny Depp.  that's do-able.

Dennis, one more thing, Aunt D does not cook.  Aunt D likes to be wined and dined.  Factor that in before you and the biker boyz descend upon Mayberry.

We really don't expect anyone to come to Mayberry, but if any of you are passing through Spokane or CouerdAlene, give us a call, we'll meet you for lunch, it's not that far from here........We really don't make it to Utah much any more.

Sorry to hear about your mother Larry. Another of our classmates lost her Mom today! If there ever was a true lady it was Genevieve Whithing. I've done her hair for years and she was always so kind and thoughtful to everyone. I will really miss her, but i can say i learned a lot from this lady. If I could be a lady with class i would be her!! Sorry guys you know i'm to much of a nut to be a lady!   I'm going to miss all my history lessons from her. how lucky she was to keep such a keen mind.  Thanks for sharing her Brenda! Love Shauna

hey Gary, the opening to the olympics are on!! That is what I am doing and loving it. I don't know why the queen thought she would steal my thunder jumping out of a helicopter. Well she is the queen you know and then jump with Bond!!!!!!  Your stories would scare to many people Gary! I would love to hear them though!! ha Ha

Linda Schardine

Hey Gary, are you the one who's burned out?  in case you didn't notice a few others of us besides Debbie have been on also.

Hit us with the stories I dare you!!

Charles (Chuck) Gividen

Hey Shauna,

You could write a really fascinating book on all you have learned and heard while doing your clients hair.  I know you did my moms hair for quite a few years.  I'm sure you have heard a lot of stories that would really make the book hilarious and exciting.  You have quite a legacy with all the people you have worked with through the years.  Does anybody out there have any suggestions for a title to this book that Shauna should write?  Maybe it could be a book of short stories.

Linda Schardine

Thanks Gary!....

And yes I think there are a lot out there listening and are to afraid or shy or don't think they have anything to say, I learned early on, I never really have a lot to say, people don't always respond how I think they should, but just having your voice heard is enough.

For all you lerkers, at least say hi, I'm hear, I'm listening.....

Great idea about Shawna's book,      'Hair Brained Stories"  ???

Later

Okay--Gary I feel bad I did not recognize you a few months ago.  I was stuffing my face with a whopper at the Burger King in Salem and seen someone that looked familiar, as you were getting in your car with I asume your wife I realized it was you. Several weeks ago I seen Dixie Valentine Davis At the movie and a few hours later Dwaine Jensen in Sam"s club and then stopped at Westpro to pick up some tee shirts and seen Steve Clements and John Edmonds. That was sure fun. Last week I ran in the Mapleton 5k on the 24th, about died, I thought I might have seen some other class mates at the Park afterword but didn't.  Visited with Stuart Hamilton at church yesterday then spoke with Richard Hjorth about some Boy Scout stuff last night. I played 2 really bad rounds of golf last week, one with Stanley Jenkins and Wayne Hall which was at least fun.  Today I started repainting Steve Killpacks parents home in Springville. Steves sister Terri is living there right now.  They are going to sell it now that both parents have passed away. Enough small talk from me. Good night.

Congrates on the Silver Beaver Eric. Happy Birthday everbody. Way to shed the light on things Keith.

Sorry about the deaths, sad to think we are the older end of our families now, without parents. You did a nice job on Mrs. Whitings hair Shauna, is it weird working on dead people? Brenda needs to join the forum, she was nice. "Skydiving Blond Tells Hairy Storys."

"Long may you run" you bikers.

Deb and Linda OH I mean Aunt D,

I am sure that Denny R could dine everyone I understand he is quite the cook. As for the wine, I don't think they make Boones Farm, Anne Green Springs or Thunderbird anymore, and cause I don't drink that is the extent of my knowledge on wines.  But I am sure we could find something to drink.  Does Mayberry have any dining establishments?  We would love to ride through that sleepy little town so everyone could talk about you two when we leave.

The next time we plan lunch in Utah I think we should meet at the Draper Prison and eat, how does everyone feel about that?

Dave when are we going to do our fall golf outing?  We need to plan one soon, but probably after the rain quits.  Have a great week everyone, look forward to hearing from you.  DS

We have two restaurants that are worthy of dining.  Three if you count my chef/husband who can whip up some delicious delight and beverage on the patiio, with a river or mountain view.

Plenty of room  at my house and a nice husband who loves guests!  if people want to stay, think about it sometime. It's just about the most beautiful place you can see in Idaho. It's worth the winding, twisty, rivers/lakes, ponds,  green/pine scenery, 1/2 hour off  Hwy 95.

We're usually gone 2 weeks around Labor Day, but think about it for sometime, it would be a visual delight way more than CDA, ID.

Something to put on the list.  (St. Mayberry)     ............   St. Maries, Idaho

Gary, I like your "let the words flow" style of writing. Keep it up - there's a real honesty in it.

Dave, Just know that I laugh at your jokes, even when nobody else does.

Denny, Thanks for having a heart bigger than your Harley. I've seen you out on that red hog a couple of times this week and it always makes me happy to see you.

Linda, your title suggestion for Shauna's book is brilliant.

Shauna, get writing and share it with us, here. I'll still buy a copy when it's all finished.

Dennis, I'm looking forward to the bread and water feast at the prison.

Eric, do you think it's too late for me to get an advancement to first class? I might make it if they've dropped the Morse code requirement . Chuck, maybe you could tutor me a little on it, too.

To the rest of you, thanks for keeping the forum a great place to visit.

Oh, and Keith, the same thing happened the last time the doctor shined his light in my ear.

Ok Dennis, you choose the golf course and time, I'll be there. Even my garage.

Did anybody else call it the Black Forest besides us in those days, or since? Who name it anyway?

Shauna Bona (Leetham)

Hi everyone, nice to hear from you! Love the name of my book! You guys are very clever.  It isn't weird doing peoples hair when their gone. Their spirit is still there. It is my last gift for them to make them beautiful. Don't worry they have all told me to make sure they look good. You can feel all the people their with and the presents of God! he helps me  through it as he does in many hard things in my life! I am a lucky person to have had all these wonderful people in  my life. You know as we are getting to be older we do have a little more wisdom. All of these parents of ours teach you a tom when they are close to death. one thing I have learned they are almost excited becuase there are more on the other side!  So what we all need to do is write down our historys, because they will be interesting to the younger kids. Some of our stories might not be what be what we are proud of, but they are our story. I did a bunch of crazy things, I can't say that i am sorry for any of them, but sometimes i wonder why I'm still alive! such as, who ever came down the canyon to fast, who jumped off a cliff to high at Lake Powell, who went to the Black forest parties!!!, went swimming when you can't swim, walked 4th south in 0 degrees in mini skirts from the polor king to the high spot and didn't freeze to death. Went to the submarine races with Don Killpack, yes i got out of the car and I was really looking for one. Even blonder then!! Love all of you, Shauna   Happy birthday Larry and Patti!

Jan Allred (Carter)

You really could write a book Shauna!

I like Dave's jokes too but I have to admit that sometimes I don't know what the heck he is talking about!

How far is it to Linda's house? That sounds pretty tempting!

That was not me Gary. By the way how many wifes do you have? Anybody we know?

- Blonde Joke

A man who'd just died is delivered to a local mortuary wearing an
expensive, expertly tailored black suit.

The female blonde mortician asks the deceased's wife how she would
like the body dressed. She points out that the man does look good in
the black suit he is already wearing.

The widow, however, says that she always thought her husband looked
his best in blue, and that she wants him in a blue suit. She gives the
Blonde mortician a blank check and says, 'I don't care what it costs,
but please have my husband in a blue suit for the viewing.'

The woman returns the next day for the wake. To her delight, she finds
her husband dressed in a gorgeous blue suit with a subtle chalk
stripe; the suit fits him perfectly...

She says to the mortician, 'Whatever this cost, I'm very satisfied..
You did an excellent job and I'm very grateful. How much did you
spend?'

To her astonishment, the blonde mortician presents her with the blank check.

'There's no charge,' she says.

'No, really, I must compensate you for the cost of that exquisite blue
suit!' she says.

'Honestly, ma'am,' the blonde says, 'it cost nothing. You see, a
deceased gentleman of about your husband's size was brought in shortly
after you left yesterday, and he was wearing an attractive blue suit.
I asked his wife if she minded him going tlo his grave wearing a black
suit instead, and she said it made no difference as long as he looked
nice.'

'So I just switched the heads.'

Linda Schardine

ha~ha~David, didn't expect that one. (probley would be easier than switching clothes though).

Jan, we are at least 13 hours from Springville, it's a drive for sure! Would be fun to have people come up though, or should I say down, our elevation is about 2216.

Our weather is in between Seattle and Utah, rains more than Utah and we have sun more than Seattle and less than Utah and it's really green, but not as green as Seattle. Fastest way is through Mousula. Invitations always open.........

We'll be here until August 26th, then off to Utah to stay with friends for a day then off to Fort Bridger for a week, then a road trip for a week and try out our new truck camper.

Hope you all have a fun summer! it's almost over.

Gary, did you not hear me........

For now.........

This sight has a life of it's own, kinda like all our lives, some days we're on some not, don't get discouraged like some, it's a tool and a site to express ourselves when we feel like it,  don't expect anything and you will get much more than you think.

We all are frekin 60, we've had a lot of interesting lives and we've grown into people I hope we all love to be.

I honestly would love to hear what people have done and are doing, I can't reminiss, I don't have any worthy stories to tell, you either had to be there or it doesn't translate. Just keep posting and listening and maybe those who are just watching will chime in now and again.

Hey I'll talk to you.....
