Trish Whiting also still lives down there in the area, as well as, Blair and Cindy Packard. You could send a message from this site if you don't have other email or phone info. Wish I could meet you down there. It should be a fun weekend!

Eric.... you should give me a call and I'll try and round up Trish, Cindy & Blair and any other classmates that live in AZ.  You & Nora are even welcomed to come stay at our house.  Trish is coming down tonight, so we could really get some plans going.  Hope to talk to you soon.  Tamra

I was talking with Ken Strong this morning and he sent me this picture of his grandson who is currently doing his part as a MIGHTY RED DEVIL on the football field. He's a star on offense and defense. His name is Demetrius Mutini. Watch for him...

A recent study has found women who carry a little extra weight live longer than men who mention it....

Close game for the Devils last night against Lehi. Congrats Ken.

What's the most common remark made by a 65 year old when they enter an antique store (or a Cracker Barrel)?

"Gosh, I remember these."

You know, Dave, I've been thinking and I'm wondering if it's wrong that only one company makes the game Monopoly? Remember that the one who laughs last thinks slowest.

I remember that game Daryl. It's an antique. Oil spouts, typewriters, rotary phones, my friends kids tried to push the numbers in the circles to get the phone to work at their grandmas. What can you guys think of that is antique?

How about opening soda cans with an old "church key" opener before ring tops? In fact, what about ring tops?

Oh, and...

Happy 65th Ron Daniels!

How about no seat belts, air bags or power steering?  Push mowers, central air and coal stoves. The house I was born in at California had no in door bathroom. We are just a walking antique.

Happybirthday Ron,and welcome to SS.

We still play monopoly.     But it's now a card game.  Lol.    How about having to roll your car windows down manually   Not much anymore.  I had a flour sifter, and my granddaughter did not know what it was used for.    Not much letter writing anymore, mostly done through texting, emailing or FaceTime.    Yes we have gotten spoiled with modern conviences.

How about pushing a button on the floor of the car to turn the headlights on/off to high beam,  'walking' to your friend's house, playing games in the road, shooting BB guns in City Limits, Derby car races down 400 South and Brookside, Peay's, Cragun's, and Sage Creek Markets?  Oh and 8-track tapes in the car. :)

Well, it has been quite awhile since I have posted here. And yes, I have been really busy since I retired almost 5 years ago. I have done a lot of traveling with my wife Rhonda; and I have been really busy doing a lot of Honey-do lists, and lists of my own. One thing that I have been involved in is Spartan racing. Two years ago my daughter said, "Dad, I have signed you up for a Beast Spartan race in Big Fork, Montana- a 15 mile race, with 38 obstacles, and an elevation gain of 5,100 ft". I had no clue what a Spartan race was. I told her that I did not think that was a good idea. She said, "Dad, if you can go backpacking with the Boy Scouts for 14 miles, carrying a 45 lb. backpack, you can surely do this. So I consented. Little did I know that that first race in Big Fork, Montana would change my life. After that first Spartan Race, I was hooked. Since that first Spartan race in May of 2015, I have raced 10 more races....the most resent was 3 races in 2 days, all in Hawaii - totaling 30 miles and 75 obstacles, and earning a Trifecta. The first two pictures are at the Boise, Id, Spartan race, with my wife, who also raced....the next five pictures are in Hawaii with my daughter and her husband....and the last picture is in Salt Lake where my daughter and I had just completed the race, a very muddy race. Every once in awhile I tell my daughter that I am getting up there in age and maybe I should slow down a bit with these races. She looks at me square in the eye and says, "Dad, age is just a number". I think I will try to live up to that for as long as I can...it can't hurt me, I think...LOL. I don't want you to think that I am bragging, but I thought that I would share with you my new hobby.......

Nice going Chuck! It's good to see a post from you again. Keep up the hardcore racing and chip in here when you can.

Carol, Mike and Tawna, those were all good remembrances of our bygone days. It's funny how fast things have changed with technology in our lifetime. I remember watching Howdy Doody under a blanket with our first TV since the picture was so light you needed it to be dark enough during the daytime to even make out the images. And how about the whole computer thing? Remember stacking punch cards to get the computer to calculate anything?

Way to go Chuck.

Senility has been a smooth transition for me. Remember back when we were kids and every time it was below zero out, they closed the school? Me neither.

4 tracks, 8 tracks, vinyl, cassettes, soon CDs. Steel pop cans, could you crush them?
