Marvin, you have a way with words. Well said...you said what I have been thinking. Thanks
I just got back from a two week trip to Cambodia. We flew into Siem Reap and set up a dental clinic at one of the school out in the country. Global Dental Relief put the trip together. They send dentists and volunteers to 3rd world countries all over the world. We were set up in a large classroom. There were 5 dentists, 2 hygenists, and 10 other volunteers. In 6 days of working at the clinic we had 800 children come through to have their teeth examined and worked on. It was a lot of work, but well worth it. These kids had next to nothing, and they did not even know it. I have never seen such happy children. We who have soooo much can really learn a lesson from this. I will never forget my experiences with these beautiful children in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Would I go again? Absolutely, if given the chance. I thought I would share a few pictures with you.

Notice their feet. They all wear sandals, but most of the time they go barefoot.

This is one of their outdoor classrooms. Notice the hundred plus bicycles in the background. This is how the chilcren get to class. Some of them come to school with two or three on a bicycle. No busses.

The main mode of transportation is the bicycle and the motorcycle. I happened to look out the window and saw this father and mother coming to pick up their children at the school. Five people, the whole family, on this motorcycle. They also use the motorcycle to pull trailors to transport goods.

We were going down the road when we saw this motorcycle pass us. These are live chickens and ducks on their way to the market. They keep them alive until it is time to kill them for meat. That way they are selling fresh meat. We also saw two large live pigs tied upside down on the back of a motorcycle, on their way tot he market. It was quite the site.
