I seem to hit all the red lights at their longest cycle. Is that the light you turn at to go to New Mexico? I've heard good reports about that golf course. We are bidding windows in the new Club House. We proably won't get it but it'll will be nice. We worked on the windows in the Temple there. That may be a good suggestion to move there, except it gets as cold there as here in the winter. Montana is cold for sure.

That stop light takes you anywhere in the southeast area that you want to go! :)  It heads to Colorado, but you can eventually get to NM (the long way around). Yes, it is cold... we're here right now visiting our daughter and her family. But in the summer the average temp is much cooler that in Springville.

Hi everyone, HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wow life is flying by. I finally have had time to sit down and read everyone's posts. Thanks for sharing all your stories. I love all of them. We really came from such a great time in history. Oops did I say history, well a lot of my things are antiques now so i quess we are history. Have any of you noticed when you see someone around our age you think wow they look old. Then you go home and look in the mirrow and say oh yep so do I! Like they say wrinkles give you character, I'm such a character now!! yikes! Looking forward to many more wrinkles, enjoying life! Hope you all have a great year!!!

Happy new Year everyone!!

My husband gave my the best comment ever (I thought so anyway, he might have meant it in another way) but called me a character. So I chose to take that as my complement .

He's off all his treatments for now and is feeling better, now he has to wait 5 weeks and then some intensive surgery, but one day at a time is how I am living the rest of my life. it's actually harder to do than you think, not thinking what if or why that? just It is what it is today and enjoy today!

Sorry, Dave! I haven't been on for a few days, but Thursday's not good for me this week, unfortunately. I feel bad, because I thought things would be a little calmer in January, but this week has kind of gotten hectic. Let's try, again, next week if Dennis can swing it.

Wow! What happened with the formatting on the picture? I don't need that much attention!

Not me, I'm already monkeys grandpa. I fell off that horse too many times. Maybe I'll get a smaller horse. I had to eat alone last time.

Marvin, you better tell us about the Polar Vortex to liven up this forum.

Marvin Dansie

Dave,

That Polar Vortex is just Mother Nature having a little fun. I just hope she remembers that the western US could use some of that snow she is punishing the eastern US with - since we would like to have a little drinking water and a few crops to harvest this coming year.

We live in interesting times. Our technologies are pretty impressive, but we are still at the mercy of the natural world. It reminds me of that line from a Door's song, "The future's uncertain and the end is always near." I guess I need to appreciate the gift of each new day I have on this remarkable planet.

Marvin, you are absolutely right.  Thanks

I talked with Kerry's wife this afternoon.  Kerry has had a tough go but is doing a lot better at this point.  He is going to the doctor to see if they can isolate the cancer and get the rest of it taken care of.  Marie said Kerry is in good spirits and feeling a lot better.  I will give you another update when I hear more.  Isn't it getting to be about lunch or dinner time?  DS

JJ Cale died, Lou Reed, Richie Havens, Ray Manzarek (speaking of the Doors Marvin) and my two favorites Alvin Lee and The Fabric Mill.

It looks like Seattle may change the Vortex in N.J. this weekend and we can get rid of some of our pollution.

Hope Kerry keeps improving.

How's it going Linda?

01/28/14 12:38 PM #2530

Daryl Tucker

Dennis, give my best to Kerry. How about this Thursday for lunch or dinner? It might be wet. Cross your fingers, Marvin. Precip so far this water year is only about 65%. Anybody know a rain dance?

Sorry about the Fabric Mill, Dave, I didn't know.

Glad to hear Kerrys hangin in there. It's a rough road. It's always good to get past the worsed part, then the rest seems much better.

My hubbie is doing pretty good, actually going up to work most days, he will heal until Feb 28th, then surgery and then go from there.

I've been working on a few more things (flowers) to stick on the school bus.

Wish I could pop in for lunch, next time I make a trip to Utah to see my kids, I'll try and do that.....

They moved my meeting on Thursday to 1000 hours so I could do lunch at 1200.  I have a meeting later in the day so I will not be able to do dinner on that day.  Let me know and I will plan accordingly.

Things are out of control again this week at work. I'm going to have to miss lunch again. Sorry!

Linda, glad to hear Lars is hanging tough.  Best thoughts for you both! Can't wait to see more of your art.
