Thanks to those who came and gave me comfort at my mothers viewing. Also those that posted condolences here and Facebook. You are great friends.  As hard as it was to lose her I hope when your parents go they may go in the peace my mother did. I think the reality of it hit me most when they closed the casket. God bless all of you and your loved ones.

It's time to get on with good news people. That was good Randy. I was somewhere and was asked where I went to school. I said Springville and they said "Oh the at that old high school?". I realized the real "Old High School" was gone before they were born. I said "no, it was brand new when I went there." It's 40 years old, the Old High School. When I was asked by a bank how long have you lived there, I said longer than you've been alive. It was true.

Tell me some of your "Old" stories.

Happy Birthday to all we missed, maybe we shouldn't mention it anymore.

James Harmer

Though I have not had the pleasure of meeting most of you, I feel like I know many of you personally as Jim spoke highly of you often.  He so enjoyed the “Springville High Red Devils Class Of 1969” website.  Reading and blogging was a favorite pastime of his during the wee hours of the morning.  I wish to thank you for sharing your many interesting stories about Jim.  It has given me a great deal of pleasure to get to know more about Jim’s wild side before I met him. I am certain he would have thoroughly enjoyed reminiscing his wild adventures as a youth and comparing them with his more recent wild adventures now.  Jim never grew up and I am so very happy he didn’t.  He enjoyed family, friends, participation sports, wild adventures and living life to the fullest, which gave way to his never ending happy disposition and devilish grin.devil

Thank you!  Debbie Harmer

Hi, I have not said much on this site, so I'm making a post just to say thanks. I do read everything that's posted and enjoy them. Now that summer is over and things are slowing down a little, I will try and join into a few topics. I do have a question, how may of you have a HAM radio licensee? I'm just asking as I'm one myself. Anyway, thanks for all the good posts and photos too. Until next time keep living live to the max.

Dave I found the title in the glove box and it had your name on it.  I think you need to come down and take it home before someone steals it! By the way where did you come up with the guys you think I would be I have never heard of either of them.  Probably cause I don't live in the city.

Roger you are definitely Sting!

Dave it is funny cause I was going to list James as Jim Morrison fits him perfectly.

Daryl where have you gone is work more important than your friends?

11/10/15 11:54 AM #3169

Daryl Tucker

Hello! Dennis! Check two posts above yours. I was here first yesterday!

Anyway, as for my pick for your rock star personae, I'd say you were Country Joe McDonald of Country Joe and the Fish and here's a picture to prove my point.

And I'll be okay with Elton John as for talent, but share no resemblance with his lifestyle. And that's all I have to say about that!

David Lynn

His name was the "Warden", Dennis Sorensen

Dusty Hill is the bass player for ZZ Top.

Does anyone have any big trips planned or have you gone some where that you would like to tell us about? Is anyone Great grandparents yet? I don't dare ask if anyone has had surgery? Are you all still full of Hell because we are Devils??  And a big Happy Birthday to the Best Bestie Jan. How is Medicare????  How many of you get letters on which Insurance to join? Or how many hearing aid ad's! Really, save a tree!!!!!! Dennis I love your gayed community!

UTawna Johnson (Witney)

No kidding, Shauna!!! Between Medicare, supplemental insurance, hearing aids, and financial wizards to help me earn the most I can from Social Security, I have received enough paper thru the mail to have saved a giant redwood!

Ron and I were walking the sidewalk of the shopping outlets in St. George last weekend and ran into Eric.  He was eating in one of the sandwich shops and saw us walk by, so he ran out and hailed us down.  We were there for a concert at Tuacahn and he was there golfing.  It was fun to see him and talk briefly!  Thanks Eric for setting aside that sandwich to come and get us.

Retiree  Mental Fitness Evaluation

This test is to  ascertain your mental state now. If you get one right you are
Doing  ok, if you get none right you better go for counseling. (I'll meet you  there.)

There are 4 test  questions.  Don’t miss one.

Giraffe  Test

1.    How  do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?Stop and think about it and decide on your answer before you  scroll down.

The  correct answer: Open the refrigerator,  put in the giraffe, and close the door. This question tests whether you  tend to do simple things in an overly complicated  way.

Elephant  Test

2.    How  do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?

Did you say, Open the  refrigerator, put in the elephant, and close the  refrigerator? Wrong Answer.

Correct Answer: Open the  refrigerator, take out the giraffe, put in the elephant and close the  door.  This tests your ability to think through the repercussions  of your previous actions.

Lion  King Test

3.    The Lion King  is hosting an Animal Conference.  All the animals attend ... Except  one. Which animal does not attend?

Correct  Answer: The  Elephant.  The elephant is in the refrigerator.  You just put  him in there.  This tests your memory.

Okay, even if you  did not answer the first three questions correctly, you still have one  more chance to show your true abilities.

Crocodile  Test

4. There is a river  you must cross but it is used by crocodiles, and you do not have a boat.  How do you manage  it?

Correct  Answer: You jump into the river  and swim across.  Haven’t you
Been lis-ten-ing?  All the  crocodiles are attending the Animal Conference.  This tests whether  you learn quickly from your mistakes.

According to Anderson Consulting  Worldwide, around 90% of the Retirees they tested got all  questions wrong, but many preschoolers got several correct  answers.  Anderson Consulting says this conclusively proves the  theory that most Retirees do not have the brains of a  four-year-old.

Shawna, two weekends ago I went down to Austin Texas to Circuits of America for the United States Grand Prix Formula One race. It was funner than a Super Bowl I had the time of my life. It was a Bucket Item. Most Formula One GP's are in Europe or Asia.

Hi all,

It's been awhile.  Red Devilsare on campus today.  Sadly, I hear that East High beat them. Still a great season. My condolences to those who have lost loved ones since I last visited the forum. Hope Lorin Hall is on the mend.  Nice pic with Lorin. Class of 69 gals looking good  Can still hold their own. Ladders? I worry about falling in the shower. I think I'm more full of Heck than Hell.  You know like high octane wine and cheese book readings at Ken Sander's rare book store.  Witty banter and wine.  Doesn't get any crazier than that.  Shauna, the gayed (gated) community typo caught my eye.  If the new major of SLC is considered the true representative of the populace which seems logical, I guess you could call us a gayed community.  Good old SLC is pretty diverse. I just returned from an exciting University sponsored gig at Texas Tech University.  Very nice University in the not so wonderful Lubbock, Texas.  Wished I had some cotton field pics to post.  I think Lubbock's favorite son Buddy Holly said it best, "That'll Be The Day", that I hurry back to Lubbock.  Happy Thanksgiving!  Always good to catch up a bit with the class of 69.
