Thanks for representing us, Dave! I suppose it just proves, again, that we never know when our time might be up. Be well everyone!

So sorry to hear about Jimmy~~~I hope when it's my time I get to go that way~

Whenever I think of Jimmy I remember a funny thing that happened to us. After high school when I was living in Salt Lake Jimmy asked me on a date, his car wasn't working so I told him to find a way to my house and I would drive. I had a VW bus, we drove about 2 blocks and the brakes went out, I didn't have time to tell him what was happening, because their was a hill and we would have crashed into a house. So I saw one empty parking space and had to crash into a car to stop us... He thought I had gone mad....That was a stretech to think someone else was nuttier than him , no one was hurt, we laughed and some how he got home and we stayed friends, but lost touch...lots a funny memories in High school too.

May love and peace and happy memories be with his family~~~~~~~~

I am so shocked to hear about Jimmy! My memories of him were mostly from grade school! I thought he was the richest kid in Mapleton because his house was so big. He also had the best birthday parties and he got to invite girls too. His Mom always went all out and they had a big swing to play on. One day i missed the bus so Jimmy said no problem I'll take you home on my bike. So I sat on the handle bars and he pumped me all the way home. and if you remember the roads weren't all paved then. We never crashed and we made it. He was alwys full of it and it sounds like he was to the very end. Love to here he really lived life to the fullest!                  On another sad note Steve Barker's Aunt told me that Steve's oldet daughter passed away last week. I don't know any details except that it is so sad to lose a child. If i find our anything else about it I'll let you all know. Yes we need to make the best out of every day for sure!!  On a happier note I had a grand daughter get married to a nice guy!  Randy had neck surgery and it went great! My hair is getting greyer and i can still color it!! ha ha!!! Have a great time no matter what you do!!!!!!!!! NEW RULE, NO ONE ELSE CAN DIE!!!!!!!

Shauna, I thought the same thing about Jimmys birthday parties.....his mother always decorated their house so fun for them.....The first car wreck I got into ......you guessed it Jimmy Harmer was driving....I have a lot of memories of him, he and Chad were pretty good buddies.......

Shauna & Cathy:

It's Ron D here!  Were either of you at Jim Harmer's party when some of us ventured into one of their chicken coops.  We found an old single shot shotgun.  One of us (don't remenber who) picked it up and luckily pointed it up and pulled the trigger!!! You guessed it. It was loaded and made a nice hole in the roof of his chicken coop. Scared us half to death.  Good lesson in Gun Safety.

Ron

Ohmygosh just STOP it! Will everyone just stay here for a while? I like your new rule Shauna!  RIP Jimmy. Sounds like everyone has a Jimmy story like they had an Ernie story. Every class has to have a crazyman. It's the law. Except we had more than a few I think. We had such fun didn't we. Treasure everyone. No better class in the world than the Class of 69!

Hey all you golfers and lunch eaters, I think it is time for our fall golf outing.  Let me know if any of you are will to come to Palisades Golf course and do 18 holes? Also let me know what day would be best for you?  If we get enough responses I will book tee times and set the day.  Happy Birthday to everyone having birthdays in September.  I am sorrowed by all of the deaths we have had lately may god bless your families with comfort.

I'm sure glad our kids don't drive like we did. I'm even starting to buckle up when I drive, my car turns the radio off if I don't.

Congrats, Shauna. It feels good to see your kids happy. Glad Randys surgury went well, that's a pain in the neck you can do without.

Happy Birthday Randy Morgan. See you soon.

I'll come down Dennis. Tell me when.

Live everybody.

I haven't been on here for awhile.  I am saddened at all of the classmates we are losing.  I realize it is just the natural order of life but I still think about the fun days at SHS and forget that I am 64 sometimes.

I read about a possible party/golf get together.  I would love to come I am looking foward to seeing my fellow Class of '69 members.  When it is planned, please let me know the date.  I always feel younger when I see any of my classmates.

My adventure for the Summer was 5 days at Disneyland the week of the 60th Anniversary Celebration.  It was so beautiful and I felt like a kid again.

Please, let's try to get together more.  And I agree no more deaths, please.  I am already looking forward to our 45th Reunion!!

Ok golfers and lunch eaters.  I am thinking about Thursday Oct 1, 2015.  I will see if I can get tee times for 9:30 am, then we could eat lunch either half way through or at the end of the golf round.  This will be at Palisades Golf Course in Sterling UT.  They do have a good place to eat at the golf course.  I will need to know who will want to golf so I can get the correct number of tee times.  Let me know as soon as possible.  All are invited.devil

I guess no golf or lunch on Thursday nobody responded.  To late to get Tee times now.  Maybe next time, we could always try and schedule it for a week or two.  Thanks DS

I just have to say thanks to my sister who has been watching my mother for the last 2 1/2 years. Mom's on her last days. I'm soon to be an orphan like many of you. 95 years is a good life though, more than I want. By the way Daryl, I thought you knew my daughters.

Dave Lynn's mom, Reva, passed away over the weekend. I'm sure I join many others in expressing my sadness for the Lynn family. I know it is just another phase of life, but it's hard to see our friends and their families suffering the loss of loved ones, even those who have lived good, long lives and may have been ready to go. God bless you and your family, Dave!

Hi Dave, so sorry to hear about your Mom! She was such a great lady! How lucky you were to have such a great Mom! In fact how lucky most of us were to have such good parents! I look at some of these sad little kids parents or a lot of the time parent!! Some could care less about their kids! We were born at a good time when families were rally important!  I had an interesting experience last week. Lena Derose passed away so I took Orfa Dee Johnson down to the viewing! Well it was a class reunion for those sweet people at the mortuary! Anyone that was over 90 was there. I loved listening to their stories! Richard and Helen Miner walked up and I swear I have never such a classy looking couple! Jane should be proud of such darling parents. And if any of you have been around Orfa Dee you know we had a good time! You know you are from Mapleton if you know her!  oh ya Jill how about my senile moment of wishing you a Happy Birthday just a month early!!! Geeez, do any of the rest of you do stupid things???????  Nice running into you Don and having a good visit!!!!

Dave, sorry to hear about your mom, I didn't know her but she must've been a great lady because she's got a fine son in you. I've been an orphan now for 20 years but the best memories about my parents and our family seem to always come back in my mind. Hope you can always remember these wonderful times.
