Clint, I guess that makes you Buddy Holly. I thought the major of SLC could make us the next San Francisco. Yes we should stay off of ladders, even those 3 step ones I forget when I turn around to walk off. I thought Shauna was referring to prisoners when she said gayed. Time for a lunch. Nice ride Roger, who's the old guy? My next thing will be golf Manele and Kapalua, and see Randy. If any of you need help with your Medicare I have a good friend that will guide you through it.

Dave and I are planning on lunch Thursday at Madera Smokehouse in Spanish Fork (310 N. Main). Anybody else out there want to join in? We were thinking about 11:30 to beat the lunchtime rush, so get up early and work up an appetite!

Sorry to hear you won't be there Ken, but glad to know you're out there protecting fishermen's rights! Looking forward to seeing you there, Mart, and anyone else who can break free.

Today we enjoyed a nice lunch at Madera Smokehouse in Spanish Fork. Swap some stories, got updated on what's each other has been doing and in general just had a good old time. I only wish more of you would have been able to make it. We will have to plan on doing this again when and where, more of us can make it.

I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving...I will be around for a while and for Christmas so hopefully we can get together again.... It's fun to see what people are doing, it does get hard to start new topics with Facebook and all, but I'm glad people are still talking and walking, actually~~~

Random  thoughts as we age:

The  biggest lie I tell myself is ..."I don't need to write that down,

I'll  remember it."

Wouldn't it be great if we could put ourselves in the dryer for ten minutes and come out wrinkle-free and three sizes smaller!

Last year I joined a  support group for procrastinators. We haven't met yet!

I don't  trip over things, I do random gravity checks!

I don't need  anger management. I need people to stop pissing me off!

Old age  is coming at a really bad time!

Lord grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the friends to post my bail when I finally snap!

I don't  have gray hair. I have "wisdom highlights".......... I'm just very wise.

Teach  your daughter how to shoot, because a restraining order is just a piece of  paper!

If God wanted me to touch my toes, he would've put them on my knees.

The kids text me "plz" which is shorter than please.  I text back "no".....which is shorter than " yes".

I'm going to retire and live off of my savings. Not sure  what I'll do that second week.

When did it change from "We the  people" to "screw the people" ???

Even duct tape can't fix stupid ........

but it can  muffle the sound!

Why do I have to press one for English when you're just gonna transfer me to someone I can't understand anyway?

Of course I talk to myself, sometimes  I need expert advice!

Oops! Did I roll my eyes out  loud?

At my age "Getting lucky" means walking into a room and remembering what I came in there for.

And, of course…

Have I sent this to you already or did you send this to me?

I have a request. My parents gave me a book years ago that had all of our gradeschool pictures as well as a lot of childhood pictures. Sadly it has been lost. If any one has copies of pictures from 1st to 3rd and 5th through 6th at Brookside Elementary i would pay to have them copied. I am also looking for 4th grade at Sage  Elementary. Can't replace the others but would love these copies. Thanks if anyone can help me. Elise Zimmerman. My email is elisezimerman3@gmail.com if that helps.

I'm sure there are some pictures out there for Elise. Let's take care of her!

By the way, it's Mike Nielson's 65th birthday today. Happy Birthday, Mike, and our birthday club is now changing to the "65 Club." Unbelievable!

Having a blast reading the forum.  Noticed David's response with my name.  Read it and found a typo better than Shauna's.  Called the mayor of Salt Lake the major of SLC.  So did David. I started it.  Let's be clear.  No military take over. Legal election.  I'll take Buddy.  Hipsters love his look. Especially the glasses and skinny black pants and jeans.  Buddy broke out the glasses when glasses weren't cool.  Gotta love it.  Many movie depictions of the 60's, civil rights rally's, ant-war marches, whatever the event, forget the glasses and the hair is often longer than it really was.  Notice in actual photos and film footage that the hair is just over the ears and people are wearing glasses.  Contacts in the 60's?  Real long hair in mass started more in the late 60's and early 70's.  Stupid pet peeve of mine.  Ding ding a ling and deck the halls.  Happy Holidays!

UTawna Johnson (Witney)

Yep!  I agree!!

Just for you
I am a Seenager. (Senior teenager)

I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 60 years later.
I don't have to go to school or work.
I get an allowance every month.
I have my own pad.
I don't have a curfew.
I have a driver's license and my own car.
I have ID that gets me into bars and the whisky store.
The people I hang around with are not scared of getting pregnant.
And I don't have acne.
Life is Good!

Also, you will feel much more intelligent after reading this.

Brains of older people are slow because they know so much.
People do not decline mentally with age, it just takes them longer to recall
facts because they have more information in their brains, scientists
believe.

Much like a computer struggles as the hard drive gets full, so too, do humans take longer to access information when their brains are full.

Researchers say this slowing down process is not the same as cognitive decline.
The human brain works slower in old age, said Dr. Michael Ramscar, but only because we have stored more information over time.

The brains of older people do not get weak.
On the contrary, they simply know more.

Also, older people often go to another room to get something and when they get there, they stand there wondering what they came for .
It is NOT a memory problem, it is nature's way of making older people do
more exercise.
SO THERE!!

I thought you were just doing that witty banter thing Clint, and went with it. I still like it how she's cleaning house of the old regime.

I think as far as my mind being a computer, my retrieval time is that of a Commodore computer. I don't think those had spell check either.

Happy Holidays everybody. I'm going to see Randy Morgan next week if you want me to take him anything.
