Dennis Sorensen

I am up for a parade and party and I am not even 64 yet!!  Sounds like a fun time though.

Great song, Dennis! I'm still trying to figure out what that guitarist to the right of the lead singer (from the camera view) is sitting on. It looks a little awkward. And I swear I can hear some keyboard playing in there, but where is the person who's playing it?  Still, I love the energy of that song.

In an ongoing quest to more efficiently increase and escalate personnel discomfort, pain, sore muscles and joints. I spent three days at the SSUSA world championships. (senior softball). We played a double header on Friday. A triple header on Saturday. We lost our Sunday game so we did not Play the championship game. Saturday Was great the whole team was at their best. Four hours of tournament level of play in a six hour period with a temperature of 91*. We started with 15 players, we had 8 healthy players at the end. If we would have played the championship game we would have had to have two injured players on the field even though they could not play effectively. Fortunately I survived and still have all my parts. I am sure of it because I can feel everyone of them. last season I played with a 50's,a 55's a 60's and a different 60's team for the Huntsman games is extremely fun. It is so different from when we played when we were younger. If you make a grate play or get a great hit even the other team congratulates you. Nobody criticizes anyone if they make an error. But if you make a really good play like bouncing the ball off the top of the fence, look out !!! Because no good deed goes unpunished. Both teams will ride you until death. By the time you cross home plate The Ump will have tears in his eyes and be holding his sides from laughter. You will probably have to wear a new nickname for an entire week. But were still the funnest team in the park. OUCH it hurts to smile.

I do that with my grandkids but you don't have to run or bend over. Way to go James, I'm sure it was entertaining.

Daryl -

After close examination of the video, it appears that the guitarist is sitting on top of one of those old folding beds that used to around back in the day.

Right, Marvin! As I watched it, again, I realized the props were all stuff like you'd find in an attic. That still doesn't explain the missing keyboardist, or the horn player. You don't suppose they were lip-syncing or anything?!

Happy Birthday to Carol Golding Pitcher! She's also joining the 64 club.

I just spent some enjoyable time getting caught up with what's happening.

I noticed that there was some discussion concerning birds flying over the house or into the windows.  Don't worry, unless they're buzzards.

I just showed the video Daryl put up from the Conference on Aging to my husband and we had a healthy laugh over it both losing control over the reading glasses.

On a serious note, there will be friends today experiencing loss.  We are all likely to know these times now.  Keep an open heart for your friends and for anyone you run into who is touched by sorrow.  I'm sorry to hear about Connie.  My thoughts are with those that grieve.  I hope for all of us that sadness finds the door and leaves many happy memories on it's way out.

Thanks for the video, Dusty! It becomes a little funnier every day we get older.

Happy Birthday Tamra. Hope you make it up to Utah sometime.

How are you doing Linda? Do you still need painters?

Daryl Tucker

Happy Birthday to Tamra and Ken! I'm having a hard time keeping up with the birthdays. Remember when days used to last longer. They go by in a flash, now.

That is really cool. My guess is about 1959. It looks like a 1956 ford station wagon in the background. I have my teenage mutant ninja turtles mitt. So get your players card and we will see you at the senior world series in Las Vegas!

???  Is the car a 1955 Who is our expert.

Daryl Tucker

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty good at looking up stuff on the internet. I'm going with a '54 Ford.

Thanks Daryl, but if you are good at looking stuff up that makes you an expert. Look at how long the front doors are in Dave's picture. I remember loading all of your friends plus a few straggelers in a two door wagon. Every time you would stop everyone had to move except the driver. At a stop light on main it looked like a game of musical chairs on steroids!

I think it might have been a 1953. I didn't notice it was a 2 door, sporty eh?  I was 9 according to the back of the photo, so 1960. Good call Jim. Wow, that one Daryl posted had 3rd row seating and a boat. Cool.

We could plan something around that time if you are coming! We could even go up to whiting's and have a weeny roast! Love you all, just like Denny told me today! Make sure your friends know you love them because you may not get another chance!!!!

Shauna-

Yes - I wouldn't miss it. I believe that Rick's celeration will be the last day of this month (Sunday, May 31th). Coke and I plan to be in Utah County sometime on Friday, so I would be definitely be up for about anything on Saturday. It would be great to have some kind of get-together with the "Class of '69".

By the way. I want all of you members from the "Class of '69" to be thinking about what would make a great 50th reunion. I know it is not for another 4 years, but you know how fast time flies these days. If you have an idea, desire or need concerning the reunion - either post it here on the forum or send me a message - I can use all the help I can get.
