Man the bus took a long time, it kept stopping to pick up people.

Ok, Dennis Sorensen wants to come up and play golf, who's in? Can you make it Roger? Probably on a Thursday. We could do Spanish Oaks and eat withthe girls first, unless they want to golf too.

Thanks Daryl, I never knew I could look like that at 64! I'll bet all th rest of you girls are jealous of that body!!! Wishful thinking that anyone are age looks like that!!! Those Eagles are beautiful in that picture. I wish they were flying over my house.  Dave i can always figure out lunch but i'm not a golfer!!! That is for you guys that can concentrate! Let us know when and where!!! I watched them tear down Cragun's market and the house next door last week. One more thing gone from our childhood!!!

Just talked to Dave Lynn. He and Dennis Sorenson and I are planning on a little golf outing on Thursday at Spanish Oaks. Who else is in? We'll need to schedule it with the golf course. We are thinking about an afternoon tee time - after we have lunch with any of you non-golfers who would just like to hang out for a little bit at the T-Bone or somewhere like that. Any takers?

Dave, I didn't get the message until today.  I would love to play golf this summer with who ever is going. I have to wait until June though, I had Rotator Cuff surgery in mid December and the Doc said I shouldn't play until then.

Happy Birthday Doug Wheeler. I remember the good times we had hualing hay in the summer time.

Everything was still on when I talked to Dave yesterday afternoon, so still come to lunch today everyone! I got a couple of tee times at Spanish Oaks starting at 1:45, so bring your sticks, too.

Daryl Chipping on for an Eagle, put us all to shame!

Yup, me getting an eagle caused the world to tip on its axis.

Yup, all the old people up here in SLC. keep falling down and when they bend over to tie their shoes they tip over. Up till now we blamed it on old age. It was good to discover the real cause. Daryl, it's all your fault !!!

I gotta tell you Dennis Sorensen had the longest drive. He came all the way up from Greenwich.

Richard Hjorth started off with a birdie but soon became our air conditioning with the fanning of his ball.

Jay Boyer planted his first shot high into a tree that never came out, I think it embedded.

That looks like me going after a ball in a water hazard James.

It was all fun though.

Jay Boyer

Dave,

As you well know, my shot into that tree was totally part of my strategy and not just some accidental mishap. Unfortunately, the ball just disappeared or I am sure it would have ended up on the green.......

I'm thinking the fish in this golf story is getting bigger and bigger wink

Speaking of fish...Springville City is getting a new park ready for this summer. It is supposed to officially open in June during Art City Days. It is located on the old Wayne Bartholomew property at the mouth of Hobble Creek Canyon and will include a three acre pond stocked with fish, a sandy beach area and lots of grass and areas to picnic, or just hang out. The pond (about 15 feet deep in the middle) is filled by "seeps" that are fed by mountain run-off so the water will always remain a bit cool (probably 60 degrees in August, but good for the trout) and the beach will be on a shallow slope where kids can go wading.  The water is the source for secondary water (outside irrigation) for the west side of Springville, but the seeps will keep the water level steady even when the heaviest watering season comes along. Anyway, it looks like it will be a great place to bring your grandkids for a fun outing.  Here's a map:

I found your ball Jay.

Amazing!! From that angle you can plainly see that I was only about a 1/2 inch from where I was aiming.
