Earlier this year some of us had a great oppertunity to attend lunch together as those that want to can and had Tim Woodward walk in and sit down.  He had changed so much some of us did not realize who he was.  It was great to visit with him and those attending.  Tim passed away riding his harley the other day in Montana.  Just that little lunch together brought back fond memories.   I am glad that I attended.  I am truely sorry for the loss of another class member.

Thanks Ken, that made me cry. Tim was a good old boy and it was fun to spring him on you all, he was excited to surprise you. He'd have shown up to more lunches after that, he was real appreciative to have been there.

For you that weren't there, I was in Costco when he walked up to me and said "hi Dave". I recognized the voice but not the person. Tim was a big strong piano mover the last time I saw him. He had a botched operation and had lost 150 lbs. We talked and I told him we had these lunches, he should come. He said ok, call me but don't tell the others. We were at Iggies, when he arrived he walked along our table starring at us, someone joked and invited him to eat with us, he said ok and sat down, everyone wondered, "who is this guy?" I said hi Tim. Then everybody (in shock)  welcomed him and showed him the 69 Class Love. It was pretty cool. He loved it.

You can see him on Post #2208, page 89, photos from Dennis R.

That was a fun lunch. I was as surprised as anybody there. Tim didn't resemble the Tim Woodward I remembered from high school, which was the last time I'd seen him. He said he didn't remember me from our Red Devil days, but then, I've been adding the weight he'd lost. How fast that time has gone by! Fair winds and following seas, Tim!

Sincere sympathies to Tim's family and friends.

Dave!  If Linda and I show up, may we have reserved seating on the bus?  I just thought we would get our request in now before all the seats were filled.  I would like a little extra leg room if you can swing it.  As long as I'm putting in my order, would you make it possible for several handsome men to fan us and peel grapes?

We have a section for wheelchairs that has a lot of legroom, and a lift. It's in the back of the bus though. As far as the handsome men, Denny has be assigned that.

I found this article on Tim Woodwards passing.  Thought that I would share it with the class.   We had a great talk after the luncheon this spring.  It was great to see him.  It is always great to see and visit with old class mates.

Sunday afternoon, a motorcycle accident taking place just south of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation resulted in the death of a Utah man.

The Montana Highway Patrol confirming that a 62 year old man from Utah lost his life after the crash.  The man was riding southbound on Highway 24 near the Fort Peck Indian Reservation.  They say the man's bike drifted across the center line and crashed into a ditch, and that he was not wearing a helmet.

Authorities pronounced the man dead at the scene, and his name or hometown have not been released at this time.  We will have more to you as soon as it develops.

How about something like this for a tribute emblem for members of the class who have passed? I riffed on the Harley logo. If no one likes the idea, I'll just drag it back under the rock I'm hiding under.

Hey Daryl,

I think it is a great tribute to all who have passed on.  Thanks for your efforts.

It would be nice if we could post all the names of classmates that have passed on. Just an idea.

That's the plan, Ken. Once a 69er, always a 69er.

I attended Tims funeral today.  It was really interesting.  Mr. D talked at the funeral.  He said to tell everyone that he is still alive and doing the best that he can.   It is interesting to hear all the things that Tim did.  He was a stalwart at helping people in the area get things done.  The bishop said that he was a true Christian.   I visited with Sandy for a few min.  She said she does not have a computer but will have here grandson help her to log on to the class sight.

Tim lived up the canyon from me.  One time he had a pet baby skunk and a baby porcupine that he let us pet.  He did have a kind heart. Wished we could have known him better. RIP Tim.

I found 2 signs for the bus. We'll need to get a list of all the bikers, especially the passed on ones.

We just got back from a 2 week trip, one week at Bridger and then to the desert. We almost tipped the camper over near Dougway looking for Geodes. I will never gon near that place again. A slippery road caused us to go off the road and barely held it upright. Then backed out and took 2 hours to change the flat tire in mud and muck.

Radiation, desolation, desperation, and then death in the desert......... yweh!! we skirted that one...that was to much adventure for me.

Heres a picture of Dave and his wife with their friend, Lars and I. It was great to see Daves  and wife, she is great!

That's our tipi with the red flags in the back.......

Now gotta get busy with the psychedelic bus art~~there's no place like home.....

Thanks Linda, it was fun and something new for us. Labor Day is usually a real boring day. You and Lars are great also.

I found a nice hood ornament.
