Kenneth Strong

The kids set me up at Christmas. When we got home this was hanging on my wall. This was the elk that I killed that almost killed me. What was fun is I did it with a muzzle loader. Had my boys with me and we had quite a time. Thanks kids for making it a great Christmas.   The kids gave me my elk for Christmas and my Wife got a trip to Hawaii.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and have a great 2013!!!!

Hey where are some of you? Carol, you haven't been on forever, it must be hard with your best friend gone?  Larry come back we miss you this class should be a fun place to talk. Gary where is the enthusiasum and sarcasum gone?

I have a 92 year old girl friend I met here 15 years ago, she's still living by herself, a widow of 35 years, an excentric folk artist. Her biggest fear of growing old (her words today) is that she become invisible, so she always goes to art receptions and wears cool hats and clothes and has a voice and is sharp as a tack. No one wants to become invisible so I think we should make a rule/or suggestion that when someone has something to say, that the next person needs to acknowledge that they have taken the time to put something from their heart to all of us and even if it's Yeeah, or a good for you! if we were in person we would get a node of the head or a wink or something...oh yeah good idea...just acknowledge!

There you go I'm off my box now, I love being from this class of 69, no one else can say they are from class but us. I am proud of all of us!!!

Keep on talkin..........

Will I think that it is final.   I think I closed on the townhome in Kanab today.   It has been one of the biggest hastles I have had.   Picky Picky picky all the way.   Now to get the furniture down there and get set up for a vacation.  I hope that it is worth all the BS that I had to go through.

Our family tradition is to make Ravioli for the whole family. My sisters and I and kids and grandkids get together and make about 6 to 7 hundred of them. Lots of work but best of all lot of fun. Chuck I'll get Jame's number for you when his Mom comes in again.  Linda you are right about staying in touch. I wish more people would just say hi so we know they are at least keeping in touch. Sometimes just a simple hello to someone that needs to hear it means everything. From me i am saying Hello to you and that means everyone of you, I'd list you but I don't have all night. Love all you 69er's, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hey Denny, I have been looking out at these ice cycles this last week and thought " I bet Denny could find some good ones and make some great photos". Happy hunting, I'd like to see something on the site soon. Happy New Year everybody.

Wow, I was snowplowing and hit some racing ice, landed on my hip and back. I felt like Richard Hjorth for a bit, I did some swearing and felt a little better. Retiring would be good Gary.

Hey Dave, if you don't stop falling down we're all chipping in for a "Life Alert" for you. Hope you didn't damage yourself too much!

Over the holidays my brother gave me copies of some old photos he took way back when... that I didn't even realize existed. One is of me with the first car I had of my own. I didn't "own" it, exactly. I rented it for $15 a month for a couple of months before I bought Randy Morgan's old MG 1100. (or, was it Greg's? Help me out here, Randy, my mind's shot!) The picture reminded me of just how old and, ahem, "rounded out" I've become. Loved that sunroof!

Happy New Year to you all!

It was ice faster than Apolo Ohno used in the Olympics, both feet in the air, did you feel the tremor when I landed. My father in law fell and broke his hip. In rehab he fell and broke his other hip so they kicked him out to a different rehab place. He fell there and broke his shoulder. It's going to get worse for us before it gets better. Hope you felt good enough to move Kenny. Congrats Denny, maybe your calendar can be a fund raiser for our class or we could collect photos and make one for a fundraiser for our next party.

Good lookin VW Daryl, looks like a water balloon tank. Those Germans think of everything. Dats Goud.

Cool picture Daryl! Loved those bugs! Linda didn't you have a bug to? We bought one for our kids in there teenage years. Does anyone have any fun trips this year. It looks like Marvin had a good one last year. Can't wait to hear about yours Dave. I actually went to a party on New years and stayed awake. When i got home our furnace was off. So i started the New Year with a repairman until 2 in the morning. Oh ya, Randy was here too, wouldn't want you guys to get the wrong idea!!! Happy New Year!

Linda that is a very impressive couple of hippie chicks! How I miss those days. As far VW's go I never owned one. They were to damn small for a real man. But I spent allot of time in Floyd Miner's red one with the sunroof and Craig Taylor's green one. They sucked in the winter I was always in charge of the ice scraper for the inside of the windshield!

01/07/13 12:55 PM #2054

Linda Schardine

Yeah, they were fun, when they were running.

One of my VW Dugs that I was driving to Provo College in the winter, my girlfriend Ganein and I had to use a candle to defrost the window to get down the canyon to school.

Then my Dad put a gas heater in for me, all I had to do was flip a switch and instant heat......He was always fixing my cars and inventing things for them.  Good ole Bud!

David Lynn

Where's your VW Eric.

Can you really drive those barefoot Linda? Those new ones look pretty good, maybe it's time to VW up again. Love potion #9.

My wife had one when we got married, it was from Canada and had a gas heater that got it real toasty, but not the defroster. I used a small propane torch to do that. When we moved to California I melted a bunch of albums behind the seat by the floor heater. Always had it floored.

Barefoots the only way to go......your feet stay on the pedals better.

I don't think I wore shoes much in those days.

They still would let you in stores barefoot back then.

Have fun in Disneyland Eric!!
