I got word this morning that Floyd Miner had a serious heart attack over the weekend. It was touch and go for a while, but the doctors have done their job and he's doing well enough to maybe go home tomorrow.  I'm sure he'd appreciate prayers and positive energy sent on his behalf.

I just read that Lynette Larsen's mom  Beth has passed away. I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Beth was one of the nicest people I have ever known. And a great neighbor and friend  to all the kids in mapleton when we were growing up. Again sorry  to hear about your mom.

And our contemporaries are suffering the effects of age and some are leaving us for the next world, too. But there are many reasons to be happy and lots of opportunities for us to enjoy life. So fellow 69ers let's get out there and live life to the fullest and enjoy it!

Here's an update on those who want to golf. We'll be going to Riverside Country Club in Provo. There will be room for two foursomes at 8:00 and 8:08 am. We still have three spots open for players. We're playing 18 holes and the cost for the golf and carts is $85. Call me at 801-427-9318 if you'd like to join us!

Thanks, Dennis! Remember you're only 3 days behind me! Thanks to Dave Lynn for arranging for us to golf at Riverside Country Club on Saturday. Why didn't I take a picture of us!!? Anyway, Dave, Eric Bird, Richard Hjorth and his son, Roger Judd, Paul Roylance and I had a terrific time together. We'll have to put together another round soon at Hobble Creek or Spanish Oaks and hope more of you can join us. 

There were three more classmate birthdays over the weekend and I noticed I had missed Marvin Dansie's a couple of weeks ago. Sorry Marvin, but better late than never, right?

Oh my gosh it's been crazy with so many of our classmate's parents dyng. Tamara Swenson lost her Mom, her viewing is tonight and Susan Parker's Mom's is, I think it is Thursday night!  Oh ya and Kandis Holley's Dad"s funeral was last week!  Everyone stay healthy,!!!!

I'm sorry to hear sad news like this, but it seems to be coming in a stream. I went to two funerals over the past week for a parent of one of our classmates and another hero of that generation. Shauna Davis Noland's dad, Keith Davis, died and it was his funeral last Thursday. On Monday I went to the service for Don Young who was my late brother-in-law Terry Young's dad. My sincere condolences to Kandis, Tam and Susan, too. Now we all just need to follow Shauna's advice and stay healthy!
