Betty Jackson (Case)

Betty Jean Jackson

1951 – 2022

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Betty Jean Jackson, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from natural causes. Betty was born August 10, 1951 in Provo, Utah to Bill and Jeanette Jackson. She was the fourth of nine children. Betty was raised in Edgemont and Mapleton with her sisters, Susan, Phyllis, Lois and Mary, and her brothers, Edwin, Bruce, Paul and Robert. She attended school in Springville, graduating from Springville High School in 1969. She also attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah.

Betty married Edwin Case in the Manti Temple and they had one daughter, Brenda Jean Case. Brenda in turn had three sons, Nikolaus, Alexandr and Misha, who blessed Betty’s life as a grandmother.

Betty was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held numerous callings throughout her life. She was an accomplished seamstress and sewed wedding gowns for several family members. Betty was known for her fierce devotion to family and overcame numerous physical challenges while raising her daughter and helping to raise her grandsons. Even though her health diminished over the last several years, she continued to provide love, counsel and support for her daughter and grandsons. They have all been members of the Orem Park 4th Ward for years and have enjoyed amazing support from the members and leaders there.

Betty is survived by her daughter: Brenda Jean Case; her three grandsons: Nikolaus Sebastiene Case, Alexandr Khristian Case, and Mihails Benjamin Knudsen; as well as six siblings: Phyllis Diether, Edwin Jackson, Bruce Jackson, Paul Jackson, Robert Jackson and Lois Taysom. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Edwin Case, and two sisters, Susan Loris and Mary Jackson, as well as her parents, William and Jeanette Jackson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 am at the Orem Utah Park 4th Ward building (50 South 750 West, Orem, Utah 84058) with a graveside service for family immediately afterwards at the Provo City Cemetery (610 S State St, Provo, UT 84606).

Our family is grateful for the love and support we’ve received from family and friends, and for so much love and assistance from the Orem Utah Park 4th Ward. We truly appreciate the exceptional service received from the staff at Applegate Homecare & Hospice, as well as the staff at Lake Ridge Senior Living; and the caring attention by the people at Premier Funeral Services.
