Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt returned home to our Heavenly Father and her family whom she has missed so much.

Carma Braithwaite Brown Dewey was born on September 24, 1951 in Provo, Utah to Clyde and Ione Braithwaite. She was the youngest sister of four girls and had two younger brothers. Carma married David C. Brown on September 5, 1970 in the Salt Lake Temple. They settled in Salem, Utah where they raised their three beautiful, fun children. She later married Lewis Dewey on January 27, 2005.

Carma enjoyed visiting with her parents, family, and friends. She enjoyed taking her grandkids on “Days out with Grandma”. She loved her dogs, Dusty and Sammy, and loved all dogs. She enjoyed trips to Lake Powell, cruises, and going to BYU football games, home and away. She just loved being with her family.

Carma is survived by her three children, Thad Brown, Amy (Shane) Bott, and Ryan (Kelly) Brown, her three sisters, Sandra, Brenda, and Marsha, two brothers, Randy and Kevin, 13 grandchildren, Nichole, Ryan, Braxten, Shelbie, Tyson, Nash, Natasha, Dereck, Vanessa, Swazie, Hunter, Jovie, and Sadie, and one great grandson, Ashden, who thinks “His Grandma Carma is still Awesome”, her husband Lewis, her two dogs, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Carma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, granddaughter, Garamie, in-laws, Clayton and Berniece Brown, two brothers-in-law, Sandy and Donald, and nephew, Jared.

Our Mom will be greatly missed, but we are very thankful she no longer has to struggle with the pains and confusion she suffered from daily because of Alzheimers. We love you Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, and Friend.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at the Salem 7th Ward, 25 W. Apple Blossom Way, Salem, Utah. Family and friends may call at the church prior to services from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Interment will be at the Salem City Cemetery.
