Jane Blackett Jensen 1951 ~ 2007 Jane Blackett Jensen, age 55, passed away on March 11, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on October 18, 1951 to Russel Earl and Margaret Hadley Blackett in Springville, Utah. She married Kirt Jensen on February 12, 1977 in Salt Lake City. Jane loved her family most, followed by horses, native American folklore and family history. She and her sisters have been recently active in the Martin Handcart company history. Jane was a talented and expressive writer. She attended Southern Utah State College, University of Utah and graduated from Bryman School of Nursing. Jane shared an important part of her life with her beloved companion Mindy. Jane lived in Price, Utah with her husband Kirt. Their son Zack is a graduate of the University of Utah and lives in Salt Lake City. She is survived by her husband Kirt, son, Zack, sisters: Kay (John T.) Smith of Bountiful; and Mary Lynn (Marv) Jensen of Vermejo Park Ranch, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, R. Kent Blackett of Austin, Texas.
